On October 17-18, the America-Georgia Business Council, in partnership with the Consulate General of Georgia in San Francisco, organized a series of events in San Francisco and Davis, California, aimed at promoting Georgian wine, heritage, and innovative practices in winemaking.

On October 17, Mamuka Tsereteli delivered a presentation at the Consulate titled Georgian Innovative Vintages: Wine, Heritage, and Tech. This talk explored the historical and contemporary landscape of Georgian winemaking, with a focus on how modern technology—particularly #blockchain—is being utilized to trace the origins of individual bottles, support authenticity, and bolster marketing efforts.

The following day, October 18, discussions continued at the University of California, Davis, where faculty, students, and friends gathered to address the challenges and opportunities for Georgian wine in the U.S. Topics included market access, branding, traceability, and the use of emerging technologies. The event concluded with a wine tasting, where attendees experienced firsthand the unique qualities of Georgian wines.

Special thanks to Darrell Corti of Corti Brothers for his contributions to the discussion and tasting, and to Julian Alston for graciously hosting the UC Davis events.

These events highlighted the rich heritage and forward-thinking innovation that Georgian wine brings to the global market, fostering connections and awareness of this unique winemaking tradition.
